Looking for some study music, I accidentally saw that iTunes Radio had the Catching Fire soundtrack for full listening, and my propensity for procrastination told me to live-tweet my listen to all of my *cough* 60 *cough* followers. The soundtrack seems to follow the lead of the Twilight soundtracks by summoning a mix of relevant and irrelevant artists alike to compose original tracks for the film; a tactic that brought us a few really good tracks on New Moon, but proved to be altogether overly interested in Muse. These Hunger Games soundtracks seem a bit contrived in the wake of the Twilight stuff, but maybe this will be par for the course for Children's lit adaptations. I can't say I care too much either way, but I'm glad we didn't have to watch Harry Potter in dramatic slow-mo set to Paramore.
In a lazy attempt to make up for my lack of irrelevant content for Optimism Vaccine (and maybe to share it with more than 60 people *fingers crossed*), I storified my live-tweet of the Catching Fire soundtrack:
